This Thanksgiving was weird for me. Not necessarily in a bad way though. What matters is that my family is still alive, my mother cooked for me (this is a very rare thing that has never happened before). My Dad made the Turkey. My fiancé still wants us to be together and get married even though we haven’t seen one another much of this year. ? My apartment smelled of pumpkin spice and I had turkey table wrapping for decoration. I played Holiday music and just relaxed. It wasn’t a big family holiday meet up this year. And that is A-ok. Maybe next year…. hopefully.
I do appreciate the simplicity of Thanksgiving when you take away the food. I am grateful for all that I have and know that much more will be coming soon.
