COVID-19 and Racism in the USA

This Corona Virus ordeal has shaken the world. But nothing matters more than equality in basic human rights. There is quite the civil unrest and angry as people who have been unemployed for months and financially struggling to make ends meet injustice. It truly feels like going back in time a bit and reliving what we read in history books and watched on film and online. As Will Smith stated “Racism is not getting worse, its getting filmed”. Why Thank You, Scientists, Doctors, Engineers, and Programmers, gotta love Technology!

I personally feel that we are in a generation of 0 tolerance between all ethnicities. America is becoming stronger as we work together to hold people accountable by weeding out, educating, and reprimanding the “bad seeds”. Racism is a mental disease, some would agree contagious. But in my opinion, it is something learned and taught and passed on from generation to generation.

This generation of Millenials paired with Generation Z is the driving force of change and has been vocal in standing up for what’s right, and I couldn’t love my country more. We are paving the way for what’s acceptable. If you are a person not of color, you must instill yourself and those around you with a moral and ethical responsibility to shut the racist uncle, brother, sister, cousin, grandparent down. Always stand up for what is right and help create stability and fairness for all!

I look forward to this “New Normal” and the future leaders we are creating.
