8 Weeks Until the Wedding Day

Nearly every day feels like a mental strength day. With original plans being scaled all the way down to a trendy COVID-19 interim micro wedding, we are taking things as they come and re/scheduling accordingly. The best piece of advice that I was given is “Don’t stress over what you cannot control”.

Hey… things could actually be significantly worse?

I can’t help but feel an abnormal amount of stress from planning a non-court, religious ceremony during a pandemic. What could possibly be next in store for 2020?

Oh right….the election which happens to be this year, a few weeks later. I knew this year would be special. It’s going to be one for the books, unforgettable… literally.

I have had to relieve the weight/stress of the wedding from friends and even reduce the # of the Bridal members, change my YES to a NO multiple times, finalize and revisit prior decisions made. At this point, I am just trying to wrap up deposits and coordinate applicable cancellations and refunds. Most vendors have been understanding, others have been “scam” like and oblivious to the impact of COVID-19.

My communication with hubby has been up and down depending on how much work he has scheduled but he is there when I need him most and has been fairly supportive with some of my decision making (wedding bands etc.)

I got my hair done for the first time in forever. It felt AMAZING. My Interim COVID eyebrows were threaded as well. The tears that accumulated in my eyes were also from the joy of being tamed to perfection, not just the pain of not having groomed them in over 4 months. Good luck ladies, it will suck. But you all got this, no matter where you are in your wedding planning, try to have FUN whenever you possibly can!
